Alburgh with Denton is a thriving, rural Primary School which caters for children from 4-11. We currently have 94 children on roll, many of whom travel to the school from outside of our catchment area. We also enjoy close transition arrangements with an independent Pre-School Nursery situated in our grounds.
We believe our school offers something special:
We are located in a beautiful rural landscape with excellent facilities
We have a team of dedicated staff who know and understand each child as an individual
We have small class sizes which allows us to focus on individual learning
We have a very supportive and friendly Governing Body and Friends Association
We work closely with an independent on site Pre-School as well as our local High Schools
We have an excellent Extended Schools programme, including a wide range of after school clubs and activities
We are closely involved with the Church and our local community
We have polite, well behaved and enthusiastic pupils who care for and look after each other
In our recent inspections we were graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted and ‘OUTSTANDING’ as a Church school
Visits to the school are most welcome, or please visit our website, www.awdps.co.uk for more details.

Richard Cranmer, Headteacher, explains 'Parents choose us because of:
• Our high standard of teaching
• Our comparatively small size, which means we really can offer Christian child-centred education
• Our focus on developing the whole person – physical, social, moral and spiritual.'
In keeping with our Christian values, the School Staff, Students, Parents and Governors, will work together to encourage a real enthusiasm for learning and pride in our school. As a team, we aim to offer education which is challenging, informing, exciting and enjoyable. We will have succeeded if everyone is given the chance to achieve the best results possible, and is equipped with life skills and experience for their future.
Our Core Values upon which we are focusing our work in the academic year 2010/11
• Responsibility and Service
“Archbishop Sancroft High School is a good school. Its Christian ethos is reflected in the good quality care and support provided and the mutual care and respect shown by teachers and students. In this environment, most students thrive and achieve well.”
We nurture a sense of belonging to our extended family, each member being an individual. We believe our students are hardworking, involved and above all happy. Do come and see us – we promise you a warm welcome!'

St Edmund's is a co-educational school for children aged 4 to 11. The school was opened in 1873 and owes its existence to the dedication of the Benedictine Fathers of Downside Abbey and the Catholic community of Bungay.
St Edmund's, like all Catholic schools, is distinctive because our entire educational policy and approach is inspired by and flows from the vision of life which is enshrined in our faith tradition.
Our Catholic faith perspective is not simply an added extra, but is integrated into the whole life of the school and permeates the whole curriculum.
The school attempts to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which covers a wide variety of areas of experience: Linguistic, Mathematical, Scientific, Technological, Creative and Aesthetic, Physical, Spiritual and Social.
One of our prime tasks is to create an atmosphere of welcome and respect, which promotes and makes possible the full personal development of all pupils.
