At Harleston Information Plus we believe you are never too old to learn new skills, whether this is to improve career prospects or just keep the mind active, there are opportunities at the centre for you!

BEGGINERS ART is held every Friday 10-1. It costs £5 per session but all equipment and a cup of tea or coffee is included. Les, the tutor says everyone can draw, and to date all our participants have found this to be the case. (Even though most doubted it before starting!) 

BEGINNERS COOKERY  We hold 6 week courses, one morning or afternoon a week, for people who need confidence boost to cook from scratch using fresh ingredients. The free courses are especially, popular with men and young people. Participants get to cook a dish that they take home to eat. Participant comments 'This course has been so good, it has been fun and the other people are great.' 'My wife won't believe I cooked it!

HELP TO UNDERSTAND YOUR SMART PHONE LAPTOP OR TABLET. Or maybe you worry about shopping safely online or need Excel for work?   Free 2 hour workshops held at the information centre with friendly, patient tutor. Small groups of five or six people. Smart phone workshop attendee 'I had no idea my Smart phone did all that!' 

Norfolk County Council Community Learning Service offer BOOK-KEEPING and BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE courses.

Waveney Language Tuition offer BEGINNERS ITALIAN. Ideal for holidays to Italy. £80 for a ten week course. Thursdays 10-11.15.

Also don't foget you can learn new skills from VOLUNTEERING. We have opportunities at Harleston Information Plus and a board at the centre with over 30 other local organisations advertising for volunteers.
